How do I setup my website with HTTPS?

Note: If you are using our Aspiration CDN with HTTP, make sure to re-setup a new CDN Resource with HTTPS before you proceed with the steps below.

Magento 1

You can configure your Magento 1 store to use HTTPS by going to your Magento Admin --> System --> Configurations --> Web --> Secure.

Change the Base URL from http:// to https://.

Change both Use Secure URLs in Frontend and Use Secure URLs in Admin to Yes

What the above steps will do is to set your Magento Admin, your Frontend Login page and the Checkout page to HTTPS.

If you want to change all pages to HTTPS, go to your Magento Admin --> System --> Configurations --> Web --> Unsecure.

Change the Base URL from http:// to https://.

This will change everything to HTTPS.

Magento 2

You can configure your Magento 2 store to use HTTPS by going to your Magento Admin --> Stores --> Configurations --> Web --> Base URLs (Secure).

Change the Secure Base URL from {{unsecure_base_url}} to your HTTPS Domain (eg. https://yourdomain.com).

Change both Use Secure URLs on Frontend and Use Secure URLs in Admin to Yes

What the above steps will do is to set your Magento Admin, your Frontend Login page and the Checkout page to HTTPS.

If you want to change all pages to HTTPS, go to your Magento Admin --> Stores --> Configurations --> Web --> Base URLs.

Change the Base URL from http:// to https://.

This will change everything to HTTPS.
